Position Overview:

The SCM Specialist Professional (SSP) will manage all aspects within the assigned topic areas. The SSP will work with the Smart Infrastructure organization to drive the assigned topics. The SSP will be capable of managing multiple priorities, deadlines and projects. The successful SSP will develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and become a valued partner for the focus topics.

This position is an individual contributor.


Assigned Topics: Sustainability and Cybersecuriity

Topic Responsibilities: Successful candidate will provide ownership of the Sustainability and Cybersecurity topic in the Supply Chain organization with a goal to implement and drive Sustainability measures to achieve Siemens goal of becoming carbon neutral in the Supply Chain by 2050 and ensure products and solutions offered are protected from Cyber threats.

Miscellaneous Responsibilities:

  • Create planning tools and management reports in conjunction with the Cybersecurity office and Global Sustainability that provide a more systematic and organized approach to ensure supplier and subcontractor compliance.

  • Interact directly with suppliers and Subcontractors to discuss Sustainability and Cybersecurity.

  • Negotiate contract clauses with external companies for cybersecurity.

  • Develop suppliers and subcontractors who are deficient in Cybersecurity or Sustainability.

  • Manage purchasing database by maintaining the Sustainability and Cybersecurity status of the supply base.

  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to reduce carbon levels within the supply base.

  • Be subject matter expert and keep current on developments in area of expertise and company resources, systems, and procedures.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Cybersecurity or related field or 2-3 years’ experience in either Cybersecurity management, Sustainability Management or both

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to interact with inter and intra departmental personnel, as well as management• Strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint• Demonstrated data analysis capability

  • Demonstrated self-starter

  • 5% travel required
