Position Overview
We are searching for an entrepreneurial self-starter with a hunter mentality who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a complex customer – the Federal Government. This role will report directly to the Head of Federal Government Business in Siemens Smart Infrastructure Federal Vertical.
This individual will lead Army Business Development activities nationally within the Federal Vertical. They will generate new customer acquisition by driving early engagement directly with the Army. This individual will develop and establish strong ongoing relationships with the Department of Army, engineering stakeholders, program offices, contracting personnel, A/E design firms, small businesses, strategic teaming partnerships and industry stakeholders. They will work in full collaboration with Sales Executives, Sales Leadership and Executive Management. This individual must be experienced in building automation, fire and/or security products and services as well as have a passion for Smart Buildings, Digitalization, AI and IoT.
Responsibilities
Develop account penetration strategies for new customer acquisition, new business development and new customer relationship management for the Department of Army
Create and execute the Army strategic account plan with long term vision and tactical actions to drive growth
Build pipeline of new opportunities, strategic projects, strategic funding at installations along with revenue forecasting and execution of Army strategic account plan.
Understand Army mission priorities, Army strategic initiatives and Army customer requirements to enable growth and execution of strategic account plan
Lead early identification, qualification and win strategy of new business opportunities along with Federal ecosystem partnerships to support sales executives
Leverage product segment leadership to customize and co-create Building Automation, Fire and Security solutions to meet Army requirements. Develop strategy and business case to meet Army requirements and custom integrations when needed.
Develop and maintaining strong relationships with Army end-users, Federal prime contractors, Federal A/E design firms and Small/Disadvantaged contractors that work with the Army
Mentor, coach and support the sales executives as Army subject matter expertise during tactical close phase for Contract Vehicles, Request for Information (RFIs), Request for Proposal/Quote (RFP/RFQ) as needed for win strategy
Advance Siemens as a thought leader in Digitalization of Buildings within Army industry associations and affiliations through speaking engagements, white papers, and advocacy with critical stakeholders
Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Proven experience identifying and capturing new Army business centered around Facility Related Controls Systems
BA/BS or equivalent educational background, MBA preferred
10+ years’ experience in Federal Government Sales or Leadership positions
Unrestricted access to U.S. military bases is a plus
Knowledge of Systems Integration, IT/OT, IoT, AI, FedRAMP, RMF ATO, cybersecurity, CMMC
Knowledge of Federal procurement, Federal Government contract vehicles, FAR/DFAR
Understanding of Federal Small Business/Disadvantaged Business requirements and socioeconomic classifications
Entrepreneurial mindset with experience driving Leadership positions
Ability to build effective relationships and influence to drive results in matrix environment
Strong customer focus: ability to develop customer specific value propositions
Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing.
Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
