What you will do forSiemens Smart Infrastructure:

Our Smart Buildings help to create efficient, safe, responsive and responsible environments. Our aim isn’t just about improving buildings; it’s about creating perfect places that improve peoples’ lives. This position provides expertise and knowledge throughout the system or service project lifecycle on customer sites. The right candidate will estimate, track, start up and commission projects, and will be the customer interface for all technical requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend pre-booking meetings to gain knowledge of thesales estimate and project scope. Analyze plans, specifications, andcontract details to determine system requirements. Select products anddetermine appropriate placement to meet specifications.

  • Design small- or medium-sized fire and life safetysystems consisting of system layouts, electrical drawings, bills ofmaterials, and sequences of operations to meet the intent of projectplans, specifications, and contract documents.

  • Create system databases and job-related programming forcomputer-based systems. Establish special calibration instructions onselected equipment. Oversee the creation of system graphics. Troubleshootissues, including identifying and debugging software, and diagnosingelectrical installation problems.

  • Organize and maintain job documentation. Prepareengineering re-estimate reports.

  • Provide on-site programming, start-up, checkout,commissioning, and validation processes. Participate in job site finalwalk-through, complete all job closeout documentation, and providecustomer training.

  • Act as technical resource to customers and fieldemployees.

  • Coordinate work with subcontractors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED required;Associate degree preferred

  • Experience in installing and/or servicing fire and lifesafety systems; 5 years preferred for Level II, 2 years preferred forLevel I

  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, businessoperations, and job financial reports

  • Ability to read/interpret electrical circuit diagrams

  • NICET III certification.

  • Ability to travel 20%

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD preferred

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized foremployment in the United States without need for current or futureemployer-sponsored work authorization.

  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver'slicense with limited violations
